Mage PvP Guide – Keeping the Crowd Controlled

When it comes to playing a PVP Mage, most of your strengths will rely on being able to keep your opponents under control and at a distance.

As a cloth-wearing “squishie” you will have practically no defenses when it comes to hand to hand combat so let that Warrior get too close to you and you will basically be road kill.

Keep him at a distance and you have a fighting chance of taking him down.

Mage PvP Guide – Sheep

If you’ve looked at a Mage PvE Guide or played any PvE, then you know that the ability to sheep an opponent is pretty useful , they can’t hit you if they are running around bleating.

In PvP, sheeping an opponent has some varied usefulness too.

All of the classes can earn trinkets that allow them to remove the spell, and Humans and Undead have a racial talent that allows them to escape it as well.

However, this can still buy you some time while they get out of it to back away and hit them with some spells.

Sheep a flag carrier on the run and you can also buy your teammates some time to catch up and destroy them before they get too far away from your base.

Mage PvP Guide – Frost Nova

Frost Nova is an AOE spell that can also be particularly useful in PvP combat.

It can help you trap any enemies in the area including Rogues and Druids in stealth, allowing you to find them.

And the slowing down ability that it has also gives you the chance to put some distance between you and an opponent, allowing you to maintain your health and mana.

You should watch as many of these videos you can find, if you are just starting out, you’d be surprised at just how much you can pick up from that alone.
